China Mobile Selects Azalea Networks to Provide Wi-Fi Access to Millions of Customers in Major Chinese Cities
Wireless solution part of 100,000 access point network
to provide high-speed broadband services
Beijing, China, and Milpitas, California – November 4, 2009 – Azalea Networks, a leading innovator in wireless network equipment and technology, today announced that the company has been selected by China Mobile, operator of the world’s largest mobile network and subscriber base, to install a wireless LAN (local area network) in major metropolitan areas throughout China. Azalea’s access points will be part of a network to provide broadband Wi-Fi services to millions of China Mobile’s 450 million subscribers.

Wireless customers, including consumers and businesses alike, will benefit from the high-speed wireless technology provided by Azalea. “With the ever-increasing demand for voice, data, and even video over handheld devices, it is imperative that China Mobile respond to meet these needs of our customers,” stated Renqing Chen, general manager of Azalea China. “Azalea has provided a proven solution for several wireless city deployments throughout China. Major telecom companies have come to rely on Azalea for high performance scalability as they seek to grow through improved services,” he added.
The Industry’s First Quad-Radio 802.11n Access Point, operating at Full Strength with Standard Power-over-Ethernet, Highlights Series of Technology Innovations
New York and Tel Aviv, March 25, 2008 - Extricom, a leading provider of high-performance enterprise-class wireless solutions for converged voice (VoWLAN), data, video, and location-based services, today announced its new suite of 802.11n draft 2.0 compliant products. Extricom's fourth-generation solution is the only system to enable disruption-free introduction of full-performance 802.11n in the enterprise, for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi bands, at the lowest cost-per-port.
It has become clear that, in order to achieve the promise of greater bandwidth, all solutions announced to date impose three disruptive and expensive conditions on any 802.11n implementation: limit ‘N' devices to the 5GHz band, leave the 2.4GHz band only for legacy devices, and install costly non-standard power-over-Ethernet (PoE) schemes to meet the increased energy demands of 802.11n access points (APs). In stark contrast to this, the Extricom WLAN System, based on the unique Channel Blanket™ architecture, avoids the technical and deployment obstacles presented by all other vendor solutions.

Simpler. Better. Guaranteed.About Extricom Extricom is the award-winning Interference-FreeTM Wireless LAN System to deliver data, voice (VoWLAN) media and security. Unlike conventional WLAN, which is limited by its ability to adjust the channelization issues, delay-plagued AP-to-AP handoffs, and the upredictability of system brandwidth, Extricom ease these problems by inventing the concept of "Channel Blanket ". The Channel Blanket techology is based on a fully centralized WLAN artchitectures, in which the switch makes all of the decision of packet delivery on the wireless network. In this case, clients associate directly with the swtich, not with the APs. The AP acts as a "RF conduit" to rapidly funnel traffic between the clients and the switch. By deploying the APs in everywhere you need WiFi, Extricom allows the connectivity with predictable brandwidth by co-existenece of 802.11a/b/g/n channels on every APs. Application (voice, data, etc) is separated so as packet is deliveried under different physical layer.
